Frequently asked questions

What counts as an "active device"?

An active device is any fire extinguisher, AED, fire hose, valve, or other piece of equipment that is currently active in your inventory (not archived or decommissioned). You can deactivate retired units at any time without being charged.

How does the free trial work?

30 full days, full access to Professional features, no credit card required. At the end of the trial you choose a plan and enter payment details. If you do nothing, your account is suspended (your data stays safe for 30 days before deletion).

Is my data stored in the UK?

Yes. All UK customer data is stored within the UK and EEA, processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Enterprise customers can request a Data Processing Agreement (Article 28 DPA).

Do you support BAFE SP101 records?

Yes — on Professional and Enterprise plans. Each engineer profile stores BAFE SP101 certification details, which are automatically included on every service record and client-facing PDF. Auditors and clients can see the technician's competency reference on each job.

Can I import my existing inventory?

Yes. We accept CSV imports for extinguisher inventories, locations, and service history. Enterprise customers get assisted onboarding including data migration from spreadsheets or previous software.

Is this the same product as fireproofapp.com?

Yes — same platform, same codebase. FireProof UK is the version configured for the UK market: BS 5306-3 inspection schedules, BAFE SP101 fields, UK GDPR compliance, GBP pricing, and UK data residency. The US version (fireproofapp.com) is configured for NFPA 10 and USD pricing.
